Chris Creber (Hon Treasurer) and Chris Workman (GARA President) have tendered their resignations from the GARA Executive Committee.
Nominations are required as soon as possible to fill these vacancies. Clare Batiste has kindly offered to fill the Treasurer's vacancy if there are no other nominations for this position.
An EGM will be arranged once nominations have been provided to the Admin Secretary (

). Until at least one nomination has been provided, GARA will operate without a President, but with the current Vice presidents standing in for that role according to their availability.

Jersey's Eastern Air Rifle Club is again holding an open air rifle and air pistol competition. This year's event will be held on the 9th to the 12th of November at the Eastern Air Rifle Club.

The event will culminate in a presentation dinner at the Shakespeare Hotel. Special rates have been agreed with the hotel. Just mention that you are taking part in the event and the room rate will be a very reasonable £25 per person per night. |

At the 2011 AGM a new Committee was voted in-
Chris Jackson stood down as President after a successful tenure. He is replaced by Chris Workman who had acted as Competition Secretary for the past 2 seasons.
Clare Batiste stood down as Honorary Treasurer, being replaced by Chris Creber.
Mike Creber becomes the new Competition Secretary.
John D Mechem remains as Vice President and Paul Guillou agreed to serve another term as Administration Secretary.

Commonwealth Shooting Federation (European Division) 2011

Lee Roussel has offered to organise the Guernsey entries. Please liaise with Lee if you would like to be nominated to represent Guernsey at this event. If there are more people wishing to enter this event than our allocation allows, the GARA executive committee will decide on a selection process.
Entries are to be submitted to the organisers by 4 September so all nominations are to be notified to Lee Roussel (
