There are 3 team competitions 2 of which are fired against Southampton; these are for the Stranger Cup, and the Herbert Bowl Trophy. Both of these are for teams of 5 shot at 6 yard with the Herbert Bowl final in Southampton and the Stranger in Guernsey.

The other team competition is the 6 Yard Team Handicap.

Shooters nominate their own handicap prior to their shoot.

As there are (hopefully) 6 members in a team it is the team closest to their target score.

Teams are selected on the night according to numbers who turn up.

That is a rundown of G.A.R.A. competitions run every year.
